At expatdental® proper sterilization of instruments, materials and treatment rooms is an essential part of any in-office infection control program. In dental health care settings, all instrument cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing occurs in a designated central processing area for quality and safety.
We disinfect your dental chair & the room
After every patient, our staff will disinfect your dental chair and your treatment room. This includes anything that might have been touched by staff or the dentist. The products we use kill both viruses and bacteria, but are also safe for you.
Internal dental chair sanitization
For our dental chairs, we flush the suction lines each night with a high level disinfectant then leave it overnight. Each morning, we flush them again to ensure international standards for infection control.
All dental instruments are manually cleaned
Dental instruments are washed, soaked, and cleaned before the disinfection and sterilization processes. This is required so debris can't interfere with the disinfection or sterilization process.
All dental instruments are sterilized
The final step is to put each set of instruments into individual sterilization pouches then into our advanced sterilization machine. The machine sterilizes the instruments using high temperature and vacuum pressure to kill bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores. There is a marker on each package that changes color during the sterilization process. This means our team always knows which equipment is safe to use. At the start of each dental visit, a patient gets a new and sterilized set of instruments.
